Reunion helps you to document, store, and display information about your family -- your ancestors, descendants, cousins, etc. It records names, dates, places, facts, plenty of notes, sources of information, pictures, sounds, and videos. It shows family relationships in an elegant, graphic form -- people and families are linked in an easy-to-understand fashion.
Reunion makes it easy to publish your family tree information -- even if you want to share it on the Web. You can automatically create common genealogy reports, charts, and forms, as well as birthday calendars, mailing lists, questionnaires, indexes, books and other lists. Reunion even calculates relationships, ages, life expectancies, and statistics.
Reunion also creates large, high-resolution, graphic charts allowing complete on-screen editing of boxes, lines, fonts, and colors. Wall charts are one of its specialties.
Limitations of the demo version:
- Only 50 people can be entered in a family file.
- Import/Export is disabled.
- Charts and slideshows can't be saved.
- Printed output will be watermarked.
Note: Version 11 is a paid upgrade of $49.95 from previous versions.
- Book Report: Added "Ancestor (Narrative)" Format option.
- Book Report: Added connecting line option to Person Index and Place Index (dots, dashes, or solid lines between each name and its page number).
- Book Report: Pages before the Table of Contents will be numbered in lowercase roman numerals. The cover page will not be considered when numbering pages.
- Book Report: Improved the behavior of the font panel when applying shadows to selected text objects.
- Book Report: File extension will be hidden when exporting a book section to the Finder.
- Book Report: Fixed a crash that would occur when deleting a section while a graphic or text object was selected.
- Changed the name of the "Ahnentafel" report to "Ancestor" report.
- Length of marriage will not be displayed in the family view if either spouse has an incomplete death date.
- Fixed a problem where media added in ReunionTouch would not be added to the family file if the Reunion Pictures folder has been removed or renamed on the Mac.
- Charts: The text font, color, bold, and italic settings for chart boxes will be retained when using the Update From Family File feature.
- When importing a GEDCOM file containing an OBJE object with no file name, the file name will be set to "no media file.jpg".
- Places Sidebar/List: Fixed an issue where geo codes with more than one space between components were not accepted when typed or pasted into the Geo Code field. This change will make it easier to paste geo codes garnered from exact locations in Google Maps.
- Places Sidebar/List: Fixed an issue where the pop-up button next to place names would not update immediately when geo codes were added or removed.
- File > Get Info window will report "10000+ (See Reports > Last Names)" for Last Names if the number of last names in the family file is greater than or equal to 10,000.
- When appending the relationship to names in reports, only blood relationships will be reported. (For example, in a Register report, a relationship like "Spouse of Grandson" won't be identified since the person (the spouse of a Grandson) will appear with the Grandson.)
- Fixed a problem where setting and clearing the "No Children" designation for a family would put that family in a state that wouldn't allow children to be added.
- Fixed a problem where dragging a child with multiple sets of parents to the Clipboard would delete the family for that child.
- Fixed a problem where any change made to the family file that would cause sharing to be reset would cause the places to be re-cached the next time the family file was opened.
- Fixed an installation issue that would cause icons used in a web project to not appear.
- Several changes to resources noted here for localizers.
